The History of Our Tutoring Service
The Tutoring Expert provides private quality in-home and online, 1-on-1 academic tutoring to students in grades K through 12 and beyond. We have been serving the Greater Toronto and surrounding area since 2001 and have built a stellar reputation within our niche clientele. We are proud of our solid record in helping students excel and establishing long-term relationships with our families.
Our team consists of Ontario Certified Teachers and professional tutors, who bring specialized knowledge and hands on experience that can only be acquired through years of teaching and tutoring.
Your Educational Concierge
The Tutoring Expert Inc. utilizes a tailored toolbox for every child enabling them to develop a learning mindset at home. Our program is purposefully designed to help each student succeed. We believe in a strategy that involves practice, expert feedback, and real development of study skills that is student paced and catered to mastery of concepts. We build student agency by tapping into the skills required for the modern student to succeed and getting them to think about setting goals, self track and implement strategies.
Our result oriented, 1-on-1 tutoring, is achieved by pairing your child with the right tutor. We invest the necessary time to discuss the students needs and goals as well as their strengths and challenges. A plan of action is created based on our extensive experience about what works and what doesn’t. Upon request and with parents’ permission, we also collaborate with your child’s teachers and counselors to tailor a consistent study plan.

We understand that each child has unique needs and requires a certain rapport to be motivated to do better. If you haven’t tried one of our awesome tutors before, we invite you to set up a free hour half meet and greet session with your designated tutor so that you can feel confident about moving ahead with the process.
Our consultation session can be set up with no cost or obligation and includes the following:
- Grade and subject specific assessment if required
- Meet and greet with the tutor whose been assigned for the family for 0.5 hours
- Discuss of academic goals, strengths, weaknesses, learning style, session setup etc
In addition, if you are not completely satisfied with your assigned tutor during the course of the term, we would be happy to rematch you with a tutor who is better suited to your child’s personality and goals.
Your Convenience
We work with you in the comfort of your own home. We are also willing to alternatively meet at a community place to accommodate you if you prefer otherwise.
Availability
We operate Mon- Fri as well as weekends all year round with flexible timings to accommodate your schedules and extra-curricular activities your child may be engaged with.
No Hidden Fees
There are no hidden fees or additional travel charges. Fees are simply hourly based.
Student – Teacher Liaison
It is emotionally difficult for both parents and students when children struggle in school. We believe in linking our in home tutors with your child’s teachers to provide a holistic with the school’s philosophy.
Our Staff
Our staff is comprised of qualified, enthusiastic and motivating instructors who keep themselves current and involved with the educational field and excel at strengthening your child’s academics. Our tutors come prepared with extensive experience in tutoring and tailor each session to fit each student’s needs. We mandate that our tutors submit an annual police check to ensure the safety and peace of mind of our clients.
Our Promise of Satisfaction
We understand that each child has unique needs and requires a certain rapport to be motivated to study. In the event that you are not completely satisfied with your assigned tutor in your first session, please contact us immediately and we will assign a tutor who is better suited with your child’s personality. If your child is not motivated in school we invite you to give our staff a call, who can resolve past academic deficiencies and help build and restore your child’s confidence.
