When Chemistry Starts Feeling Like a Different Language
Chemistry asks students to move constantly between what they can observe and what is happening at the particle level. They must understand new terminology, symbols, formulas, diagrams, chemical equations, laboratory results, and mathematical relationships, often within the same question.
A student may follow an example in class but feel unsure when the numbers, substances, or wording change. Small gaps in naming compounds, balancing equations, unit conversions, or the mole concept can quickly affect later work in stoichiometry, solutions, equilibrium, organic Chemistry, and electrochemistry.
For parents, it can be frustrating to see a child spend hours reviewing without gaining clarity or confidence. More repetition is not always the answer. Students often need someone who can identify the exact point of confusion, explain the concept in a different way, and guide them through problems until the reasoning begins to make sense.
Our Chemistry Tutors provide focused instruction based on the student’s course, classroom material, learning style, and academic goals. Sessions can address the current unit while also rebuilding earlier skills that may be holding the student back.

Our Chemistry Tutors Currently Study or Have Graduated from

Chemistry Tutoring for Every Stage
Grade 9 and Grade 10 Chemistry Foundations
Students can strengthen the Chemistry units taught within Ontario Science courses, including matter, particle theory, physical and chemical changes, acids and bases, chemical names and formulas, and introductory reactions.
Grade 11 Chemistry Tutoring
Grade 11 Chemistry introduces atomic structure, bonding, reactions, stoichiometry, solutions, and gases in much greater depth. Tutoring helps students connect chemical theory with calculations, laboratory observations, and written explanations.
Grade 12 Chemistry Tutoring
Grade 12 Chemistry moves into organic Chemistry, advanced structure and bonding, thermochemistry, reaction rates, equilibrium, and electrochemistry. Tutors can revisit Grade 11 foundations while helping students prepare for demanding Grade 12 assessments and post-secondary science.
College and University Chemistry Tutoring
Post-secondary students can be matched with tutors for general Chemistry, introductory organic Chemistry, biochemistry-related concepts, calculations, laboratory theory, assignments, midterms, and final exams, subject to tutor availability.
